Cutcut Boom - Personnal project - 2023

These images display a personal artistic project focused on paper cutting, where I capture everyday scenes and memorable moments through intricate paper bas-relief. Each composition is crafted from multiple layers of precisely cut paper, allowing me to create depth and texture that brings each scene to life. From a basketball game in the open air to friends by the beach, a rock climber scaling a cliff, or a person emerging from a small building, each piece reflects a story or memory.

The technique I use involves layering cut paper to construct bas-reliefs, giving each scene a sense of depth and dimension. The process is both meticulous and rewarding, requiring patience and attention to detail as each layer contributes to the final image. Working with paper allows me to convey textures and shapes in a minimalist yet expressive way.

These scenes are inspired by moments in my life, where each layer represents not only the visual elements of a memory but also the emotions tied to it. Through this project, I’ve found a way to tell stories and capture personal experiences in a tangible form, transforming paper into a medium for nostalgia and storytelling.
